The Republican Party knows that Donald Trump will not be running in 2024. Which leaves a big gap in their world, a world constructed around a fantasy that a narcissist failure was their political savior. It won’t be the January Sixth hearings that bring him down, though they certainly put a few more nails in the coffin.
