Investigating Investigations is Not Governing

Especially when the target has not even indicted anyone

Extreme Republicans in the House of Representatives are wasting our money and time on incredibly stupid stuff. There’s no polite way to put it. They’re not doing the work they were elected to do.

They seem to think that attack politics are the primary role of elected officials, rather than actually governing. You know, passing laws and proposing budgets, the work that keeps the country moving forward.

The recent threats by three congressmen to investigate the Manhattan DA over indictments of Trump, that have not even taken place (yet), show these guys making noise for cameras and brownie points from their former leader, the beleaguered Donald Trump.

Meanwhile, their inability to agree on a budget, or even put one out there, risks bankrupting the entire government and creating an economic winter for the global finance system.

All for those political brownie points. Their guy is almost certainly going to be indicted multiple times, which means nothing is going to get done in the House. The Freedom Caucus is being played on the grand scale but they’re too arrogant to see what the ex-president is doing to them.
