Take a look at the last few weeks. A tornado a half mile wide traveled across three states, over 250 miles, destroying everything its path, including the entire town of Mayfield, Kentucky. In the suburbs around Boulder, Colorado, grass fires, fed by 120 mile an hour winds, destroyed nearly 1000 houses in hours.
