With an army of thugs called ICE wreaking havoc
Well, it’s been quite a week and, as I write this, we have not even reached its pinnacle with Trump’s beloved military parade tonight, where I half expect him to show up in some kind of flashy uniform, gold epaulets, fake medals and all.
It is after all his big dictator moment, though reality is not going his way. Netanyahu ignored his lame attempts to negotiate with Iran and launched a massive attack on the country, throwing the Middle East even further into turmoil. California Governor Newsom blasted Trump’s military expedition to LA in a blistering nine minute prime time speech, as Trump watched his polling collapse into a sea of disapproval on every major issue.
Each week that goes by is so radically strange that the events of just the last week become ancient history. We had the TACO meme, the cat fight with former bro Elon, the ongoing failure of the ‘ninety deals in ninety days’ thing (no deals so far), and calls with Xi and Putin that accomplished exactly nothing concrete or binding.
But wait, there’s more, as they say in the infomercials. When Israel attacked Iran Trump was quick to state that we had nothing to do with them, then hours later started taking credit for helping Israel with our big beautiful weapons. These…
